St. John's Edge 2017-2018 Roster Breakdown

Two games into their inaugural season, the St. John's Edge are turning heads with their energetic play on the court.
Here's what you need to know about the players donning the blue and gold for the Edge this season:
Rashaun Broadus, PG #16
Height: 6'0"
College: BYU
A two-time All-Star in the Lithuanian Basketball League, the 33-year old BYU alumnus brings an extensive professional resume to the Edge. Known for both his excellent ball handling and quickness, Broadus looks to be a perfect fit for the fast-paced NBLC. He most recently played for SC Rasta Vechta of the German BBL, where he averaged 8.6 points and 4.3 assists per game.
Carl English, G #23
Height: 6'5"
College: Hawaii
The 36-year old veteran hoopster looks to be a leader for the Edge both on and off the court. English has had quite a career, perhaps most notably in Spain where he captured the Liga ACB scoring title in 2014. Known for his exceptional shooting, English will be a constant threat from the perimeter. The Patrick's Cove native has also represented Canada internationally as a member of the men's national team, winning a silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games.
Grandy Glaze, PF #55
Height: 6'7"
College: Grand Canyon
Currently a member of the Canadian men's national team, Glaze brings size and exceptional strength to the Edge. The young powerhouse will surely be a factor in the paint, where he has built a reputation as a pesky defender and rebounder. Glaze averaged 13.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game at Grand Canyon.
Jarion Henry, F #7
Height: 6'10"
College: Cal State San Bernardino
One of the tallest men on the team, Henry's size will be a key factor around the basket on both sides of the court. Known by his nickname "Jacpott," Henry is known for his energy and he never gives up on a play. Most recently he was a member of the undefeated 2017 Drew League Champions, Birdie's Revenge.
Charles Hinkle, G/F #24
Height: 6'5"
College: American University
Hinkle brings a wealth of experience of the Edge, having traveled the world competing for teams in Japan, Hungary, Israel, and Turkey. Hinkle also has played in the NBA's G-League, where he averaged 5.7 points per game. He most recently played in the Japanese BJ League.
Jordan Jensen-Whyte, G/F #6
Height: 6'6"
College: University of British Columbia
One of three rookies on the team, Jensen-Whyte hopes his success at UBC will transfer over to an NBLC court. Known for his unique ability to shoot with the left hand and finish with his right, a trait he earned from emulating his brother. In his final year at UBC, Jensen-Whyte averaged 15.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
Alex Johnson, G #3
Height: 5'10"
College: N.C. State
Having played in 175 games for four franchises, Alex "Superman" Johnson has the most NBLC experience of any player on the team. The league's 7th all-time leading scorer is set to reunite with head coach Jeff Dunlap, who coached Johnson during his time at N.C. State. Johnson spent last season with the now-defunct Orangeville A's franchise, where he averaged 9.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game.
Rudolphe Joly, C #40
Height: 6'10"
College: University of Quebec (Montreal)
The biggest man on the team, Joly stands 6'10" and weighs a whopping 280 pounds. Joly has proven he has skills to go along with his size, being named MVP of the Vietnamese Basketball Association in 2016. He also has NBLC experience playing for the Windsor Express, where he averaged 2.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in nine appearances last season.
Desmond Lee, G #5
Height: 6'4"
College: N.C. State
The second N.C. State Wolfpack alumnus, Desmond Lee joins the Edge reuniting with head coach Jeff Dunlap. Known for his premiere perimeter defence, Lee will be a key piece in locking down opposing scoring threats in the NBLC. He averaged 6.0 points and 2.1 per game in 64 games for the Wolfpack.
Marcus Lewis, G #12
Height: 6'4"
College: Eastern Kentucky
The former EKU Colonel brings youth and NBLC experience to the Edge. Lewis averaged 13.8 points, 2.5 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 30 appearances with the Niagara River Lions last season. Lewis has proven himself as an exciting player, winning the 2014 College Slam Dunk Contest. Edge fans will hope to see some of those dunks on display at Mile One.
Colton Ray-St.Cyr, G/F #30
Height: 6'5"
College: Coastal Carolina
Colton Ray may be a rookie, but his quickness and shooting ability could earn him more playing time. Always a constant offensive threat, Colton Ray will surprise fans and opponents with his exceptional rebounding. The former Chanticleer will begin his pro-career in St. John's, and hopes his averages of 9.4 points, 2.4 assists, and 6.4 rebounds will translate to success in the NBLC.
Jarryn Skeete, G #10
Height: 6'3"
College: Buffalo
With a last name like 'Skeete', Jarryn Skeete was destined to be a fan favourite in St. John's. Known for his precise passing ability with either hand, the former Cape Breton Highlander is out to impress Edge fans with his play and prove he is more than just a name. Skeete averaged 7.0 points, 1.5 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 22 appearances for the Highlanders last season.
