Halifax hands the Edge first Franchise loss

Sunday, November 19th, 2017, Halifax, NS – The Edge (1-1) were on the opposite side of a back and forth game versus the Halifax Hurricanes (1-0) Sunday afternoon as the Edge suffered their first loss, 124-121.

Carl English came out of the gate with a strong performance finishing with 36 points, 4 rebounds, and five assists while forward Grandy Glaze put together a double-double, finishing with 18 points and 17 rebounds.

Antoine Mason of the Hurricanes also hit the 30-point plateau while getting support from Billy White and Ta'quan Zimmerman who combined for 49 points.

Inside the Numbers

Both teams scored 62 points in the second half.

The Edge connected on 18-of-43 3-point shots (41.9 percent). Carl English lead the team with 6.

The Edge went 11-of-14 from the free throw line (78.6 percent). Jarion Henry lead the team going 6-for-6.

St. John's are back in action on Tuesday as they face the Cape Breton Highlanders in their home opener, tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 NST and the game will be streamed live on www.sjedge.ca.
