Wednesday, March 22, 2018, Niagara, ON – The St. John's Edge (24-14) finished off their road trip with a convincing 15-point victory over the Niagara River Lions (6-30) 118-103. The victory places St. John's at the top of the Central Division with a .5 game lead over the London Lightning.
Player Performance
St. John's Edge:
The Edge were led by a scoring committee with 4 players finishing with over 20 points. Xavier Ford led the charge in the second half and finished with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 1 assist. Charles Hinkle and Wally Ellenson both chipped in with 21 points and Jarryn Skeete, in his second straight game as a starter, finished with 20 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists.
Niagara River Lions:
The River Lions were led by Samuel Muldrow who finished with 22 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Kris Joseph contributed 15 points 6 rebounds and 3 assists in the losing effort. River Lion Jaylon Tate scored a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Inside the Numbers:
St. John's went 46-for-89 (51.7 percent) from field-goal territory and went 17-for-36 from three-point range (47.2 percent)
The River Lions went 12-for-35 (34.3 percent) from three-point territory and received 42 points from the paint.
