English and Hinkle Lead the Edge over the Highlanders-

Tuesday, November 21st, 2017, Sydney, NS – The Edge (2-1) took control of another back and forth game in the fourth quarter versus the Cape Breton Highlanders (0-1) Tuesday evening to secure the franchises second victory in their first three games,106-98.

Carl English caught fire after the second quarter to finish with a team-leading 25 points on the night. Finishing with 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 assist was Charles Hinkle, who's consistent scoring touch has been on display during the first three games of the season. The Edge's bench contributed for 39 points in the victory.  

Duke Mondy of the Highlanders went 6-6 from three-point range and finished with 24 points in a losing effort, while Charles Mann Jr. chipped in with 19.

 

Inside the Numbers

National Basketball League of Canada's twelfth overall draft pick, Zach Gordon debuted for the Edge tonight, finishing with 6 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists.

The Edge went 24 for 40 from the free throw line (60 percent). Alex Johnson lead the team going 8-for-10.
