Edge get past the Titans, 127-117

Saturday, March 3, 2018, St. John's, NL – Carl English put together a National Basketball League of Canada record-setting 58-point performance versus the KW Titans as the Edge sweep the weekend series, 127-117 in front of 4000 plus fans at Mile One Centre.

Player Performance 

St. John's Edge:

Carl English is the second Edge player to break the 50-point plateau this season following Charles Hinkle's 53-point performance versus Windsor. English's 58-points breaks the previous 56-point record held by Devin Sweetney, who sank 56 points for Moncton in a March 2013 game against the Montreal Jazz. Former KW Titan Russell Byrd put up 13 points and 4 rebounds in the win.

KW Titans:

The Titans were led by Anthony Myles and his 28 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Derek Hall produced his second straight double-double with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists.

Inside the Numbers: 

St. John's went 41-for-87(47.1 percent) from field-goal territory while hitting 18-for-34 (52.9 percent) of their three-point shots.

The Titans went 40-for-79 (50.6 percent) from field-goal territory while getting 52 points from the paint.
