Edge sweep the River Lions

Saturday, December 2, 2017, St. John's, NL - An 11-point run in the fourth quarter was the difference as the St. John's Edge (5-2) cruised past the Niagara River Lions (3-2) 105-91 on Saturday evening at Mile One Centre. The Edge were leading 82-79 when the club went on the run to lead 93-79 with just over three minutes remaining in the game. 

Carl English was key for the Edge as he put up a game-high 33 points, combined with six rebounds and two assists. Charles Hinkle also put up 27 points for St. John's in the victory.

Omar Strong led the way for the River Dogs with 18 points, two steals and an assist. Adam Klie picked up nine rebounds for Niagara. 

Inside the Numbers

St. John's sank 43% of their shots from beyond the arc and put up 29 points from turnovers to put the game away. Niagara netted 77% of their shots from the free throw line.
