St. John's Edge

Jeff Morrison was named Assistant Coach of the St. John's Edge on October 1st, 2019. Morrison joins the Edge after stops in the NBA G-League with the Maine Red Claws and the Island Storm of the NBL Canada.

 

Morrison spent the 2014-2016 seasons working with Head Coach Steve Marcus with the Maine Red Claws, the Boston Celtics NBA G-League affiliate. Morrison was instrumental of the development of three Red Claws who earned NBA call-ups during his two seasons with the team: Tim Frazier to the New Orleans Pelicans and Coty Clarke and Chris Babb to the Boston Celtics. He was responsible for the day to day operations of the team while also assisting the coaching staff in scouting reports and video breakdown.

 

Morrison spent the 2016-2018 seasons as an Assistant Coach with the Island Storm.  He helped lead the Storm to two playoff appearances. His duties with the Storm included player recruitment, contract negotiations, video breakdown and player development. 

 

Morrison is originally from Charlottetown, PEI and is a 2019 graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island with a degree in Business Administration.
