Glen Davis Sidelined for Game 1 with Concussion

Injury News: Concussion Will Sideline Glen Davis for Game 1 of NBLC Final

St. John’s, NL – The St. John’s Edge announced this evening that after re-evaluation by the team’s medical staff, Glen Davis will not dress for Game 1 of the NBLC Finals due to concussion protocol.

Near the end of Game 6 of the Division Final, Davis hit his head on the floor after he was fouled by a KW Titans player. Davis at the time continued to play but was evaluated following the game and it was determined that he suffered a mild concussion.

Today, the medical staff that travelled with the Edge re-evaluated Glen after he took the last few days off from practice and team activities and he did not pass concussion protocol. Due to this, Davis will not dress in Game 1 of the Finals and will be re-evaluated over the coming days to see if he will be cleared for Game 2 which will take place on Saturday night in Moncton.
