Edge Close Out 2019 With A Loss Against the Storm

St. John’s, NL– The St. John’s Edge dropped their third game in a row on Tuesday to the Island Storm, 117-106, at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

The first quarter consisted of a back and forth battle for points with the Edge finishing the first quarter off with a 2-point lead, 30-28.

The Storm would come back midway through the second quarter to take the lead for the remainder of the game.

The Edge fought hard to take possession of the ball, but ultimately a number of turnovers for the Edge and strategic plays by the Storm throughout the remainder of the third and fourth quarter would be the deciding factor for the loss.

Junior Cadougan led the Edge in points with 25 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists while Jesse Jones put up 23 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.

For the Storm, Antwon Lillard put up 26 points with 12 rebounds and 6 assists and Alex Campbell dropped 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
