St. John’s, NL –Desmond Williams, a 6’7 185lb Wing from Torrington, CT, has signed a 2019-2020 NBLC Player Contract with the St. John’s Edge.  Williams, will begin his third professional season with the Edge after stops in Finland and France.

Williams spent the 2017-2018 season with Rouen Basket in France Pro B and had averages of 10.5ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.6apg while shooting 49.4% from the field and 31.2% from 3.  Williams, a 2016 graduate of Southern Connecticut State, led the Owls to two NCAA tournament appearances and during his senior season while averaging 22.5ppg, 9.8rpg and 4.0apg and was named NABC NCAA D2 All-American as well as the ECAC Division II Player of the Year.
