Edge SIGN Jared Nickens
St. John’s, NL – The St. John’s Edge announced today that the club has signed Monmouth Junction, New Jersey native Jared Nickens for the 2018-19 season.
Nickens, 6’7”, 210 pounds, comes to the Edge from University of Maryland, an NCAA Division 1 program. In 2017-18 Nickens appeared in 32 games for the Terrapins.
In those 32 games, he averaged 5.09 points, 1.38 rebounds, and 16.1 minutes. Nickens shot .415 (56-for-135) from the floor and .413 (43-for-104) from the three-point range.
Nickens finished 8th on the University of Maryland 3-pointers made list (179), he is 12th All-Time in 3-point percentage (.374) and 7th All-Time in games played (136). His senior season 3-point percentage (.413) is ranked 9th all-time in school history.
