Saturday, November 18th, 2017, Charlottetown, P.E.I – The Edge (1-0) were entrenched in a battle with The Island Storm (0-1) Saturday night that was capped off by a game-winning three-pointer by Patrick Cove's own, Carl English who put the Edge on top of the 97-96 decision.
Charles Hinkle and Grandy Glaze led the way for the Edge with 21 and 19 points respectively, while Carl English and Rashaun Broadus both chipped in the 11 points each.
Chris Johnson and Franklin Sessions both put up 18 points for The Storm as the teams traded points for most of the second half.
St. John's are back in action on Sunday afternoon as they face the Halifax Hurricanes in their home opener, tip-off is scheduled for 2:30 NST and the game will be streamed live on www.sjedge.ca.
