IN STAND HOST
St. John’s Edge are seeking interested applicants to serve as an in-game host for Edge Basketball at Mile One Centre for the remainder of the 2017-2018 season.
The in-game host will lead on-court promotions, competitions and other events with fans in order to boost fan engagement and contribute to a fun, upbeat and spirited atmosphere.
The in-game announcer will complement the public address announcer and Edge DJ. Applicants must be energetic, confident and have both experience with a live microphone and a commanding speaking voice.
Applicants must be available for all home games for the Edge 2017-2018 season--this includes holidays, weekends and nights.
There is a script below, please include a video of you a) reading / announcing the script attached and b) improvise for 30 seconds about NBA player Steph Curry.
Interested applicants should apply by emailing GameOps@sjedge.ca, preferably with a portfolio of previous experience or sample videos are preferred. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, February 22nd.
Select applications will be invited to auditions, which will be held before the end of February.
