Steve Marcus was named the third Head Coach in franchise history on September 27th, 2019.  No stranger to the organization, Marcus had spent the last two season as the Associate Head Coach before taking over as the Interim Head Coach in March of 2019.  Marcus guided the Edge to their first trip to the NBLC Finals last season.  

Marcus joined the Edge after spending the 2016-2017 season as the graduate assistant at NC State in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a member of the Wolfpack staff, his duties included assisting with the coordination of filming practices and games, editing game film and film exchange.  He also assisted in arranging on-campus recruiting activities, as well as tracking student-athletes' academic progress. 

Prior to his arrival in Raleigh, Marcus spent the 2014-2016 seasons as the Assistant Director of Basketball Operations with the Maine Red Claws, the Boston Celtics NBA G-League affiliate.  Marcus was a part of the development of three Red Claws who earned NBA call-ups during his two seasons with the team: Tim Frazier to the New Orleans Pelicans and Coty Clarke and Chris Babb to the Boston Celtics.  He was responsible for the day to day operations of the team while also assisting the coaching staff in scouting reports and video breakdown.

From 2010-2014, Marcus was a student manager at St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY.  During his four years on staff, he was a member of the 2012 Atlantic 10 championship team that made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament.  He also worked closely with 2012 NBA first-round draft pick, Andrew Nicholson.  

Marcus, originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, is a 2014 graduate of St. Bonaventure University with a degree in Journalism/Sports Communication.
