St. John's Edge Attend Lights of Love 2018

St. John’s, NL – The St. John’s Edge and The Edge Foundation were proud to take part in the Lights of Love 2018, hosted by the Ronald McDonald House NL on Clinch Crescent in St. John’s last night. This event is held annually and gives those who are residents of the Ronald McDonald House a chance to enjoy the season at their home away from home.

The team, coaches and staff joined a joyful crowd to give thanks to employees and volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House and to also honour those children who were once a part of the Ronald McDonald House.
The Tree Lightning Ceremony was hosted by VOCM Cares Rayleen Mackey and featured performances by the Sound of Seven, Barbara Ashley School of Dance, and the Cadets Band.

The St. John’s Edge players and staff supported the Ronald McDonald House by donating and placing red bulbs on the tree to honour those children who are no longer with us.
Throughout the evening, The Edge interacted with many fans and took pictures while joining along in the singing of some Christmas Carols performed by the Sound of Seven.

This event is one in a long list of community events that the team will be attending throughout the holiday season.

The next home-stand for the Edge is Dec.14th and 16th as they welcome the Island Storm to town. You can purchase your tickets by calling 576-7657, at the Mile One Centre box office, or by visiting www.mileonecentre.com
