Cadougan Named to Canadian Senior Men’s National Team FIBA AmeriCup Roster

Feb 12, 2021 - St. John's, NL - St. John’s Edge Guard and Toronto, Ontario native, Junior Cadougan, has been selected to join the Canadian Senior Men’s National Team for the upcoming FIBA AmeriCup Qualifiers. The AmeriCup Qualifiers are Team Canada’s first steps towards qualifying for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics.

Cadougan is no stranger to Team Canada, he has participated with the Junior National Team in 2006 at the FIBA Americas U-18 Championships where he led the team in scoring at 16.8ppg. Cadougan was also a member of the Senior Men’s National Team at the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship, 2015 Pan American Games, where Team Canada won a silver medal, and also the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup.

Cadougan on his selection, “True confidence comes from your work!” Cadougan, the only Canadian selected to have played in the NBLC last season, joins a roster of 16 for the qualifying games which will take place between February 12th-22nd in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
