Williams Hangs 'Em Up

St. John's, NL - Feb 22, 2021 - Coron Williams, a Midlothian, Virginia native, has announced his retirement after a 7-year professional career that has spanned all over the world. Williams began his collegiate career at Robert Morris University where he played for four seasons before spending his final year of eligibility playing at Wake Forest University.
Williams began his professional career in Italy, playing for Universo Treviso. After a short stint in Italy, Williams signed into the NBA D-League where he played for the Maine Red Claws, the Boston Celtics affiliate. Williams spent the better part of two seasons with the Red Claws, helping lead them to two Atlantic Division titles.
Williams began the 2017-2018 season with the Greensboro Swarm, the Charlotte Hornets affiliate before signing with the Edge for the first time in January of 2018. Williams was a key reserve on the inaugural St. John’s Edge team where he had averages of 13.9ppg, 3.2asts and led the team with a 48.6% 3-point percentage. Williams then signed with La Union de Foromosa in Argentina where he spent the 2018/2019 season. He began the 2019/2020 season with Dorados de Chihuahua in Mexico before resigning with the Edge in January of 2020.
