Road Worn Edge No Match For Sharpshooting Titans

Less than 24 hours after a thrilling double-overtime victory versus the Sudbury Five the St. John's Edge rolled into Kitchener to face the Titans. St. John's riding high on a three-game road winning streak but fatigue certain to play a factor in this one.

1st quarter - Kitchener-Waterloo come out firing on all cylinders. Meanwhile St. John's are clearly struggling to find their legs after last night's battle. The Titans pushed the lead to 23-10 with 5:27 which forces Edge coach Steve Marcus to call a timeout. Ed Horton lighting it up with 14 in the 1st quarter. 35-17 Titans after one.

2nd quarter - Edge are running on empty as the Titans are in total control. The teams exchanged baskets for much of the quarter. KW lead 51-34 at the half.

3rd quarter - St. John's try and make a push as Coron Williams makes a couple of outside shots but the Titans answer back with a few of their own courtesy of Damon Lynn to hold the Edge in check. Titans lead 73-54 heading into the final frame.

4th quarter - Titans with this one well in hand just working to keep the Edge at bay. Ryan Richardson with four triples in the quarter to lead the team in scoring with 15 on the night. KW wins 101–86.

Edge coach Steve Marcus had this to say after the game, "Credit to KW, they came out and punched us right from the start. We're looking forward to getting back home and playing in front of the Mile One faithful in what should be a fantastic weekend."
