RE-SIGNED| Edge Welcome Back Olu Ashaolu

St. John's, NL- The St. John?s Edge have made their first roster move of the 2019-2020 season. The Edge would like to welcome back Olu Ashaolu, who has been signed as the IR Designate for Murphy Burnatowsi. Burnatowski sustained a knee injury during the December 31st game in PEI and will be sidelined for the next 6-8 weeks.

Asaholu returns to the Edge after playing in 28 games last season, helping the Edge to their first trip to the NBLC Finals in organization history. Ashaolu had averages of, 10.5 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game while shooting 57.0% from the field.

Ashaolu spent the beginning of this season in the Philippines and South Korea before signing back on with the Edge. The Edge have released Elijah Macon as a subsequent roster move.

Head Coach Steve Marcus on the return of Ashaolu: "We are thrilled to bring Olu back in the fold, he was a key cog in what we did last season and it will be a seamless transition to add him into what we are building here in St. John's."
